Summary of Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy
  • Practice within federal/provincial, regulatory/legal requirements
  • Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management
  • Practice to full extent of expanded scope with Professional Services, within your capability
  • Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed
  • Communicate with other health care professionals within the circle of care to provide customer care
  • Maintain all records required in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, and policy
  • Control access to the dispensary with respect to inventory and patient confidentiality
  • Review of stock to identify expired inventory
  • Adhere to all applicable policies, standards and procedures
  • Prepare medication for compliance packaging clients
  • Maintain workflow and receipt of medication within prescribed timeline of receipt of prescription
  • To assist in receiving and basic data entry of new prescriptions
  • Receive and restock medications
  • Prepare daily and weekly production reports
  • Replenish shelves with reorder medications
  • Maintain stock levels and order when required
  • To prepare manual and automated compliance packaging

  • Ability to develop care plans under the direction of the Director of Care or designate for the physical, psychological and social care of the residents.
  • Ability to direct and assist care aides in the use of appropriate procedures ensuring the provision of a high standard of resident care.
  • Administer, monitor and record medication administration, educate resident as needed.
  • Assists in creating and managing nursing care plans and participate in the evaluation of the current and future medical needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care treatments and informs the Director of Care or designate and/or the resident’s physician of significant changes in the condition of any resident.
  • Provide personal care assistance, nursing procedures, and mentorship and coaching of Health Care Aides/Personal Support Workers.
  • Working with residents to meet care requirements and communicate any concerns to the doctor and manager as needed.
  • Demonstrate ongoing competence utilizing knowledge, skill, judgment, and evidence-based practice in caring for aging adult is vital in this role.
  • Ensure accordance with provincial continuing care health service standards, legislation, codes, regulations, and employment and safety statutes.

  • The Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) is a regulated health professional working under indirect supervision performing various diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • The MRT uses their extensive knowledge, skill and judgement in the principles of anatomy, physiology and pathology, as well as imaging acquisition to provide high quality care to their patients.
  • MRTs must be able to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills while participating in a team building environment. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
  • MRTs provide high quality assessments using radiological principles.
  • Grow with new technology and advance medical practices.
  • Be a member of a medical team where your skills help establish a diagnosis.
  • Perform high quality radiologic exams on patients in a timely manner.
  • Follow special instructions as indicated on requisitions.
  • Assist physicians directly.
  • Apply technical judgment in obtaining high quality imaging studies.

    Experience: 2+ years supervisory experience.
    Experience: 3+ years as a Stock Clerk or similar role.

    Tasks

    • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff.
    • Order merchandise.
    • Authorize return of merchandise.
    • Establish work schedules.
    • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters.
    • Organize and maintain inventory.
    • Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages.
    • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions

     

    • Standing/walking for 8 hours.
    • Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise items may vary in weight from “light” to “heavy”.

    • Minimum of 1 year experience as food service attendant, crew member or food counter attendant in a western restaurant or fast-food chain in the past 3 years.

    Lube Technicians / Auto Technicians

    • Minimum of 6+ years experience.
    • Red Seal certification is considered an asset.
    • Ability to pass the Red Seal exam within 6 months of selection required.
    • College Graduate / 2nd Year College Level or 2-year course diploma / 1-year Automotive Technician course / certificate.
    • Must have an international drivers license.

    Executive Housekeepers

    • 3 years continuous employment experience in a hotel.

    Housekeeping Attendants

    • 2+ years employment experience in a hotel or as a housekeeper.
    • Canadian High school equivalent, or 72 units in College or University.

    Retail Sales Associates

    • Minimum of 3+ years in the Retail industry (hardware store, home appliance, furniture, department store, sports shop, bookstores, or large grocery company).
    • Canadian High school equivalent, or 72 units in College or University.

    Railway Labourer

    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Minimum 6 months experience working in railway or construction industry is preferred.
    • Must have Secondary Education (10+2) or 72 units.
    • Need to be physically capable of doing the work and used to this type of labour.
    • A Valid Drivers License is preferred – 40% of workforce must be able to drive a company vehicle.
    • Valid CSTS, First Aid, H2S Alive and Ground Disturbance level 2 courses preferred but will train the right candidates.
    • Ability to operate required tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
    • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
